The following settings might fix issues related to using Quartus on high-resolution (high DPI) displays on Windows 10. Typical problems are very small icons and fonts because Windows believes Quartus is DPI-aware but it is not. These issues are particularly noticeable in the block diagram (schematic) editor.
To allow Windows to scale the Quartus display:
- navigate to the location of the quartus.exe executable (typically under C:\Altera\<version>\quartus\bin64 or c:\intelFPGA_lite\<version>\quartus\bin64)
- right-click on quartus.exe and select Properties...
- select the Compatibility tab
- click on Change high DPI Settings...
- enable "High DPI scaling override" and select any of the modes. Application will scale the text to fit the schematic symbols but the icons and text may be too small. System or System (Enhanced) will scale both text and graphics so they are readable but a bit fuzzy.
